Beaches & Sea Swimming

Spoilt for choice the Island has a number of beaches to enjoy a day relaxing on the beach or perhaps taking a refreshing swim in the cool Atlantic waters that will leave you feeling refreshed. Our Green Coast awarded Tranaun beach is unspoiled and has amazing views of Croagh Patrick, Mweelrea, and the Connemara Mountains.

Keep a keen eye out for the range of rare birds that frequent the beach and perhaps you may even get a visit from an inquisitive seal.
