Aidan has a strong background in construction and infrastructure and currently works with Uisce Éireann, where he brings practical experience, problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of the importance of sustainable infrastructure and community development. His work has given him valuable insight into the challenges and opportunities facing rural and island communities, particularly in relation to essential services, long-term planning, and sustainability.

Having grown up on Inishturk, Aidan has a lifelong connection to the island, its people, and its way of life. His strong ties to the community have shaped his commitment to protecting and strengthening the future of island living while ensuring that the unique culture, heritage, and identity of Inishturk continue to thrive for generations to come.

As co-chair of the Inishturk CLG, Aidan works closely with local residents, community groups, and stakeholders to support projects and initiatives that will benefit the island socially, economically, and environmentally. He is particularly passionate about creating opportunities for young people and families, supporting sustainable development, improving local amenities and infrastructure, and helping to build a resilient future for the community.

Aidan believes strongly in the value of community-led development and the importance of ensuring that island communities continue to have a strong voice in shaping their own future. Through his involvement, he is dedicated to helping ensure that Inishturk remains a vibrant, welcoming, and sustainable place to live, work, and visit.
